Amorphis : 1993 - Privilege Of Evil [EP]

This Ep sounds the way it looks. this is not your garden variety tales frok a thousand lakes stuff, this is dark and heavy, but smoother and more polished then "The Karelian Isthmus." instead of cold and deep (tfatl), this is dark and wicked. it kind of sounds as though amorphis covered an incantation album, or a nile album, but gave it their own touch. this ep would be at home next to an album by either of those artists. a refreshing listen if the newer fluffier amorphis stuff is beginning to wear on you. picture everything that tales from a thousand lakes has but tuonela doesn't have. it's only flaw is that it's over too quickly. but what does one expect from an ep?
